Art Fundamentals Drawing & Painting (Grades 1-7)
8-Week Session Weekly (Aug 10 - Oct 2) - $400

This class focuses on building strong technical skills in drawing and painting. Students will practice pencil drawing through basic forms, shading, still life, and portrait studies, then explore watercolor techniques inspired by J. M. W. Turner to develop confidence in color, composition, and expressive painting.

WEEK 1,2

Basic Form

Using graphite pencils, students will study tonal value, shading techniques, and observational drawing to create form, depth, and atmosphere.

WEEK 3-5

Pencil Portrait

Through advanced graphite pencil techniques, students will create a self-portrait that expresses their unique artistic voice.

WEEK 6-8

Atmospheric Watercolor Landscape

Through observational sketching and watercolor techniques, students will learn to express spatial depth, perspective, and atmosphere while creating layered, expressive landscapes.
